Medical Review Officer (MRO) Services

At MROdotcom, we provide Medical Review Officer services to companies that are required by the Department of Transportation (i.e. trucking companies) to have all of the employee drug screens reviewed by a physician. These individuals and procedures are covered in the Department of Transportation regulations 49 CFR Part 40.

We also review drug screens for employers that provide drug testing for individuals not covered by the Department of Transportation regulations. This is commonly referred to as non-DOT drug screening.

Department of Transportation regulated drug tests, and drug tests not covered by these regulations, are provided through drug testing laboratories that are certified by HHS under the Laboratory Certification Program(NLCP). Kits for on-site collections are also available.

Non-Negative Drug Test Results Review
For businesses not regulated by the DOT, we will perform a positive only review, or non-negative drug test results review. For non-regulated drug tests, this could include tests that are positives only, or a combination of drug tests that are either positive and/or a diluted drug test.

One Bill for All Services
Many companies would like to receive a single bill for all services that are provided in conjunction with the company drug-testing program. This service can be provided at very competitive rates.

Assistance Locating A Collection Site
Occasionally, companies need assistance locating a drug test collection site. This service can be provide on a single collection basis or assistance can be provide in establishing a long term drug screen collection relationship.

Web-Based Reporting
Drug test results are reported using a web based reporting system.
The system, which is user friendly, can be configured simply to report drug test and Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) results.

The reporting system can also be maximized to coordinate the pieces of a drug and alcohol testing system. It allows the creation of a purchase order, reports all results to a web based site, and will pay all vendors. The DOT physicals and Breath Alcohol Test (BAT) can also included in the payment system.

Many companies have issues that relate to intra company communication. The system will allow Dispatch and HR to communicate the status of drug testing, drug test collection and result reporting for each individual.
